I am

I am the woman with the alabaster box.
I am the paralytic lowered through the roof.

I am the woman with the issue of blood, the leper asking to be cleansed, the blind man asking for sight.

I am Peter, Moses, Judas, Esther, Paul and David. I’m every person with every issue, every doubt, every betrayal.

You are always forgiving, always loving, always reaching for my hand.

You are every good thing, every true word, every breath for every man.

And though I fail, fall and run you never walk away.

My Father, Savior, Lord and friend. Your mercy is new every day.

Because of the Lord ’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.
