We have this hope

Christ in me the hope of glory. I have this hope as an anchor for my soul. It keeps me steady, it makes me come back to Him over and over again.

Hope.

The hope of what is to come. The hope that He works all of this for my good. The hope that He has gone to prepare a place for me. There’s a hope in Him that makes this life different.

But how do we find it, this hope?

How do we keep it close? How do we anchor the soul in times like these? We can only be transformed by the renewing of our mind. And that requires the Word. We must read it, hear it, speak it. It has to live deep down on the inside of us.

And that can be a scary thought.

Not that the Bible is anything to fear, but rather that we are not sure how to handle it. It can seem intimidating. All those chapters…all those words…so much to take in and understand.

Wouldn’t it be easier if we had someone to walk this path with? Wouldn’t it be helpful to have a sister or two to walk with us? 2020 has been a tough year. There is hope and caution as we approach 2021. It’s the perfect time to start new habits – to create the lifestyle we desire.

This year can be different.

Different for you. Different for me. This year can have more hope, more faith, more of the Word of God in you to create a whole new life for you. I know 2020 was tough. I know there was loss and fear. I also know that none of us know what 2021 holds. But I do know Who holds 2021. And in that knowing comes a hope that He will work it together for our good.

So, let’s run into the new year with a plan for a better way of doing life.

We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure.
