Let the pursuit begin

If you know me at all you know I love to write. Not merely for the sake of writing, but more so for the building up of others. For the reminder of who they are in Christ. For the encouragement to keep on going, to keep on trying, to keep on believing that He is God and He is good.  And He is very good.

I have sort of taken on a scripture as my own life mission statement. It says, “The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners., to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion – to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of His splendor.” Isaiah 61:1-3

Some people are called as Missionaries to travel to the far corners of the world and spread the good news of the Gospel. I believe I am called right here, in Downriver Michigan, to share my own stories of heartbreak and healing. To speak life to those who have faced the cold hard stare of death. To breathe hope into the heart of those who only know hopelessness. I believe fear, anxiety and depression have ruled long enough. I will help to lay a path of healing and hope for those who wish to walk it. Hand in hand, one foot in front of the other, we will walk together. His Words. My heart. Your life, both here and in eternity, matters to me because it matters to Him. Let the pursuit begin my friend.
