For all I have done, for all I have failed to do…I deserve to hang my head. I deserve to hide and be ashamed of myself. But I do not have to. I don’t even want to. I want to raise my head as high as I can and raise my voice to the top of my lungs to tell the world what He has done. He is the lifter of my head.
And in those moments when the enemy whispers in my ear and I buy it, even if it’s just for a little while, He reminds me whose I am. He takes me by the chin and raises my head up to look Him in the face. He tells me He loves me and has a plan for my life. He is my shield from the fire of the battle. He is the one who points me in the right direction, every single time.
I don’t deserve any glory at all, only He is worthy of that. Yet He is my glory.
It is amazing to me that all of the things the world goes after He holds in His hands, and He gives to us so very freely. Yet somehow we think we can attain it all on our own, so we run and strive and ignore His call.
Are you tired of trying to attain it all on your own? Surrender. Right here, right now. Just surrender. Let Him be your glory, let Him lift your head and show you all He has planned for you.

Father God, You can have it all. Here it is. I lay down every accomplishment I have run after. I lay down every glory I think I have earned. It is all Yours. I am ready to stop chasing what the world has to offer and to start receiving all You have in store for me. My life, Your plan. My will, Your way. In Jesus mighty name.
Be Still –
now just sit quietly with God, think about the scripture you read, re-read it if need be. Spend the rest of the 15 minutes just being with God
